GRAND RAPIDS/KALAMAZOO/LANSING – West Side Beer Distributing is raising funds to help local food banks serving the Lansing, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids areas and tapping into a little Christmas spirit, $1 at a time. [Please see attached photo of West Side’s fundraiser ornaments.] The company and its employees are donating paper Christmas ornaments to retail outlets it serves throughout the area, where customers can purchase them for $1. At the end of the holiday period, West Side tallies the total and donates the amount to God’s Kitchen, Love, Inc., and The Montcalm/Ionia Food Banks serving the greater Grand Rapids area; South Central Michigan Food Bank in Kalamazoo; and the Lansing Area Food Bank. West Side has sponsored the Christmas ornament fundraiser for 19 years and raised more than $175,000 in donations to local food banks. “Our company and our hardworking employees strongly believe in supporting our communities, and this fundraising program is one way we can give back to families in need,” said West Side President Keith Klopcic. “For generations, our community has supported this company, allowing us to succeed, grow, create jobs and deliver quality products and services.
