The week leading up to the Super Bowl is one of the busiest stretches of the year for Michigan’s beer and wine distributors
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Employees at Atlas Sales are putting in extra hours this week to ensure retailers are well-stocked for Super Bowl LI on Sunday.
“We’re delivering thousands of cases of beer and wine every day to guarantee full shelves and tap handles at bars, restaurants and stores across our distribution area,” said Bud Dunn, vice president at Atlas Sales. “We pride ourselves on working with small businesses, like craft brewers, winemakers and local retailers, to help them compete on a level playing field and grow their businesses.”
Thanks to Michigan’s independent and locally-owned beer and wine distributors, the state now boasts over 200 breweries and brewpubs and 100 wineries – and is poised to keep growing.
“We’re proud to help promote growth, choices and competition by working hand-in-glove with craft brewers and winemakers across the state and around the corner,” said Dunn. “We look forward to helping breweries, wineries and retailers succeed today and in the future.”
Michigan is currently the fifth largest producer of beer in the country, the tenth largest producer of wine, and is fourth and fifth, respectively, in hop and wine grape production.###
