Comprehensive safe driving program shows real-world dangers of distracted and drunken driving
ROMULUS, Mich. – West Side Beer Distributing, a locally owned beer distributor with four locations in Michigan, including Romulus, brought the renowned Save A Life Tour to Romulus High School today. The program uses a mix of heartfelt personal stories and realistic simulators to underscore the importance of safe driving and to show the effects of impaired and distracted driving.
“The Save A Life Tour does a remarkable job of intertwining personal, sometimes heartbreaking stories, with state-of-the-art simulators that allow teenagers to experience distracted driving or impaired driving in a safe environment,” said Rob Moore, vice president of Human Resources, at West Side Beer. “Our hope is that these students will take the words and lessons learned from today to heart and make good decisions before and after they get behind the wheel.”
The comprehensive, high-impact safe driving awareness program informs, educates and demonstrates the potentially deadly consequences resulting from poor choices and decisions made by drivers. The program places emphasis on distracted driving, impaired driving and proper seat belt usage.
“The Save A Life Tour is a comprehensive, high-tech and highly interactive program that thoroughly explains the dangers of drunken and impaired driving,” said Moore. “The Save A Life Tour has proven to do just that – save lives – which is why we thought it was so important to bring this program to Romulus High School.”
