MLCC Advocacy Committee

The MB&WWA MLCC Advocacy Committee is instrumental in shaping the Association's policy positions, building relationships with the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, and serving as a resource when the Commission needs industry-related information.

Committee members monitor market trends, industry practices, and emerging issues to identify potential problem areas and then review and evaluate trade regulations and laws to determine if the Association should pursue policy changes to address identified issues. The committee’s recommendations are sent to the Board of Directors for final action.

Committee members often attend Commission licensing and business meetings and the semi-annual and annual meetings of the Commission, providing testimony when necessary.
